ZGU-100-BWL Beamless Continuous-Rail Automatic Rail Weighbridge
The ZGU-100-BWL is a beamless, continuous-rail dynamic weighbridge designed for automatic, in-motion weighing of coupled freight trains. It weighs each wagon as the train rolls over the weighing section—no stopping, no uncoupling, and no interruption to rail traffic flow. The system is widely deployed in steel mills, mining operations, coal preparation plants, power stations, and chemical facilities where rail freight settlement demands both speed and accuracy.
Beamless, pitless, and built for continuous rail. Unlike conventional weighbridges that rely on a rigid scale beam and a concrete pit, the ZGU-100-BWL uses rail-pad and shear-pin load cells mounted directly onto the existing continuous rail. The weighing zone is defined by the sensor arrangement on the rail centerline, eliminating the need for a structural weighing platform, a foundation pit, or rail cuts. This beamless architecture simplifies civil works, reduces installation time, and removes the mechanical components that traditionally require adjustment and upkeep.
Weighing performance in motion. The system handles a rated capacity of 100 t per wagon with a safe overload of 150% F.S. Weighing speed ranges from 5 km/h to 35 km/h, while passing speed outside the weighing zone is unrestricted. Accuracy complies with JJG 234-2012 Automatic Rail-Weighbridges, with Class 1 or Class 0.5 as the standard verification level. The load cell combination of shear sensors and rail-pad sensors resolves the vertical force acting on the rail over the measuring section, delivering stable wagon weights even under mixed solid-freight consist conditions.
Unattended operation and data integration. The ZGU-100-BWL operates without external wagon-detection switches. Its weighing indicator embeds the weighing algorithm directly, so wagon identification, gross weight, speed, weighing timestamp, and load-offset data can be calculated and stored without relying on an external PC. The system supports integration with automatic vehicle identification (AVI), ERP platforms, and plant management systems, and is available with optional remote monitoring for electrical status, fault pre-warning, and cloud-based data analysis.
