Product Overview
The GCS-150 is a pitless, continuous-rail static electronic weighbridge designed for accurate whole-wagon weighing of standard railway freight cars. Unlike conventional pit-based scales with cut rails, this system eliminates the risks of rail climbing and rail displacement. By avoiding structural pits, it significantly reduces civil works complexity, installation time, and long-term maintenance costs.
Featuring an ultra-thin rail-pad load cell design, the system replaces standard sleepers with rigid steel frames or embedded steel plates. The continuous rail is fixed onto multiple rail-pad sensors to form a highly stable weighing zone. This structural approach completely avoids the unpredictable lateral forces caused by the deflection or swaying of traditional scale beams under heavy loads, braking, or liquid sloshing.
Built for Harsh Industrial Environments
The GCS-150 is engineered to operate flawlessly under severe conditions such as rain, snow, freezing temperatures, and standing water. It features an advanced multi-layer protection system. The sensors are manufactured to the IP68 waterproof standard and are filled with specialized two-component chemical materials to prevent water ingress, freezing, and sand accumulation.
To ensure long-term reliability, the system includes specialized lightning protection that automatically discharges to ground if the voltage difference across the rails reaches 80V. Additionally, a built-in balancing bridge protects the load cells from stray currents or leakage caused by on-site welding operations, ensuring complete electrical safety and system stability.
Proven Reliability
This continuous rail weighing technology has been successfully deployed on major railway bridges, including the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, for high-speed freight train measurement. It is also widely applied in top steel mills and metallurgical enterprises, proving its exceptional durability and accuracy in critical industrial applications.
